Matthew's take: This is one of my favorite cities in the metro Atlanta area. It has great schools and a strong resale market. Most homes date from the 1980s or newer, which means lower renovation costs than in older Atlanta neighborhoods, where houses often date to 1920–1960. Also, Ari Korean BBQ is the go-to restaurant in Alpharetta.

Katlynn's take: Alpharetta is one of my favorite metros in Atlanta. The Avalon feels like you're in a European city, has amazing shopping and even better restaurants. Our first valentines day, Matthew took me to Oak and it's a meal I still dream about. The schools here rank among the state's best, and the resale value stays strong.
